Precision CNC and Hand Production
Combining modern technology and traditional hand work
CNC Gives us repeatability to tight tolerances. There’s still a ton of hand sanding and construction involved.
Guitars are constructed and Plek’d
We have a Plek Station in-house. The Plek is used to shape, slot, and inlay fretboards. Compound radius, perfect relief per-string and fallaway are dialed in. Nuts are shaped and slotted with splay angles and hybrid string spacing for the best performance. There is no cookie-cutter production setup used. Each guitar is handled individually with strings on.
Nitro Lacquer, Poly, Aged or Shiny
We have a few options for finishes. You can get a closet classic or a super shiny gloss finish. Since each guitar is custom, our color options are pretty much up to your imagination.
Nitrocellulose Lacquer, Polyester, and Polyurethane are all available.
Plek Precision For Every Guitar
Having Plek’d over 4000 guitars in the repair shop at 13th Street Guitars, we certainly know how to use the Plek to its fullest. The machine has some cool tricks that just make guitars play better.
Every Clockwork Guitar gets the full arsenal of Plek techniques used from start to finish performed by Plek experts. They get finished off with a full Plek Setup.
TV Jones, Dimarzio, Seymour Duncan
We have built Clockwork guitars with TV Jones, Dimarzio, Seymour Duncan, Instrumental Pickups, and OX4 Pickups. Feel free to inquire if you have a favorite pickup maker in mind.
